Introduction

Grease Traps & Separators are more commonly used in the catering industry such as restaurants and pubs. They allow the safe and easy removal of Grease and Fats from wastewater, minimising the kind of problems encountered when using these products, mainly the unwanted build up of such residue on drainage systems.

Applications

Grease Traps: They are an effective and hygienic method of separating fat and grease from waste water flow.
Klargester grease traps will, by the removal of fat and grease:
Greatly reduce the occurance of blocked drains from catering establishments
Improve the performance of septic tanks and field drains
Prevent contamination of small sewage treatment plants
Grease traps are designed for public houses, small restaurants, and canteens.
Grease Separators: Are more suitable for hotels, larger restaurants, etc. where a grease separator should be considered to give additional volume.

Operation & Installation

Grease Traps and separators allow grease and fats to naturally separate out from water. This waste can be easily removed before the wastewater reaches the drainage system.
The trap or separator should be installed close to the source of contamination before any foul waste can enter the drainage flow and to suit the expected liquid temperature.
